Engaging Online Multimedia Gifted Curriculum
Our K-12 curriculum is a cutting-edge, interactive, multimedia array of engaging learning activities. Your child will explore his/her subjects with enthusiasm because learning is more than just words on a page. We offer 140 courses with exciting video and audio material, fascinating interactive online activities, and fun offline field trips, art projects, science experiments, and more. We are constantly updating our online curriculum so that it is always at its most relevant and current. Parents and students can work together to decide which courses and grade levels are best. You’ll be provided with a unique username and password combination that ensures 24/7 access to our rich online course content. Gifted Learning Modules and Record Keeping
The Academy’s curriculum is structured into hundreds of daily learning modules. We provide clear, easy-to-follow learning modules that contain lesson text, websites, videos, activities, and more. With daily learning modules, you won’t need to spend endless hours writing lesson plans for your child. Your gifted student will know exactly what to do each day simply by logging into The Academy. Our learning modules include 108-180 lessons per course that are divided into a 36-week schedule. We assign a date to each lesson to help your child stay on track, although they certainly can deviate from the schedule if it best suits their learning needs. You can easily guide your child through his/her online education studies through our structured learning modules.
We’ll also take care of all record keeping in the form of student records, grades, time log, and portfolios. Our gifted education program takes much of the busywork out of home educating so that you can focus on parenting.
Supplemental Gifted Curriculum Materials
In addition to providing access to all of our online content, we’ll also ship a package to your door that’s chock full of educational materials. Your offline course materials will include offline textbooks, workbooks, software, manipulatives, games, and more that will enrich your child’s understanding. Your offline curriculum package will feature CD-ROM’s which contain rich audio, video, and multimedia content. Learn how to play the guitar by strumming a virtual one on your computer screen. Hear the individual notes and chords. Similarly, you can learn how to speak German by having conversation with virtual German-speakers using our “Learn German Now!” software. In many cases, the retail value of these materials alone outweighs the cost of the course!
Gifted School Diploma for Program Completion
At The National Academy for the Gifted, our graduates will receive an official high school diploma. Because our courses are accredited and registered in the state of Florida, we are proud to be able to offer students diplomas. One of the ways that we provide safe opportunities for socialization is through our Social Center. Open only to students of The National Academy for the Gifted, the Social Center is a fully-monitored online resource in which our students can meet and talk with their classmates. Whether they discuss their course material or their favorite music, there’s no limit to what students can discuss as long as their conversation remains age-appropriate and constructive. The Social Center is a positive environment for your child to meet his/her social needs.
