What We Do for You – Typing Tutorial
The ability to type is an invaluable skill in today’s high-tech environment. Being able to compose documents quickly and efficiently is a tremendous attribute in countless career paths. Students at The National Academy for the Gifted can always use the “hunt and peck” method of typing, but we encourage our gifted school students to learn proper typing skills with our Typing Tutorial program. This specialized “any-pace” software provides our students with challenging exercises that will motivate them to become better typists.
As the child progresses, the difficulty of these exercises will grow, pushing the student to type more complex words and strive for higher words-per-minute rates. At The National Academy for the Gifted, we challenge children to become better typists so that they will be fully prepared for the rigorous coursework found in college-level environments. Gifted school students need to be able to type without looking at the keyboard, instantly recognize the home row keys, and type pages without ever hitting the “delete” key. This Typing Tutorial will help students at our gifted program to achieve expert typing abilities.
