At The National Academy for the Gifted, learning is a dynamic conversation between students, our teachers, and our multimedia curriculum content. Utilizing sight, sound, and ideas, our software and CD-ROMs are a cutting-edge way to learn. You’ll wonder how teachers ever used plain old books!
Our Software and CD-ROMs are interactive programs that our gifted school students can engage for high level learning opportunities. For instance, our “Teach Me Guitar” gifted education software doesn’t just list chord structures and scales, your child will hear the strum of the guitar, complete interactive lessons, receive help from a video music instructor, tune the guitar, control tempo, and learn chord charts. You can even play along with an online band! You’ll receive a guided tour of guitar basics, finger placement, fixing broken strings, and so much more. There are four levels of gifted education instruction that guide students through an animated fret board that synchronizes with music videos.
Another example of our fantastic software is our “Learn German Now!” program. Offering more than any other language program, it includes over 10,000 words, the ability to see and hear real native German speakers, allows students to participate in real conversations, and play fun educational games that will build their vocabularies and reinforce their sense of German grammar. It also features a multilingual word processor and free web-based learning resources!
