Why do people behave the way they do?  The science of sociology is dedicated to getting to the bottom of this question.  Students will learn the basics of group behaviors, social norms, human interaction, deviance, and statistical analysis.  Understanding the way humans behave will give you an edge in life as you interact with friends, coworkers, and family.  We will study the history of sociological thought as well as modern sociological theories.
