In Algebra 1, students will learn more about manipulating equations, exponents and roots, scientific notation, converting decimals into fractions and vice versa, polynomials, rational expressions, and basic graphing.  We will introduce Algebra students to the Pythagorean theorem, algebraic proofs, quadratic equations, and beginning geometry problems.
