Elementary School Gifted Education Courses

Welcome to The National Academy for the Gifted Elementary School Course Catalog.  Click on the each individual course to find out more information.  Remember, our grade levels are based on national averages.  As a gifted program, we encourage parents to enroll their children in grade levels that match their child’s abilities—not his/her age.  It is perfectly acceptable to enroll in 4th Grade Math and 3rd Grade Language Arts if your child is a particularly gifted math student.

Middle School Gifted Education Courses

Our Middle School Course Catalog can be accessed here.  In Middle School, parents and students both have more freedom to pick and choose which gifted education courses in which they’d like to enroll.  There are several Electives that you may take including Web Design or Guitar Lessons.  We invite you to allow your student to pursue his or her passions with our electives in addition to our core gifted education curriculum.

High School Gifted Education Courses

Here is our High School Course Catalog.  When educating high school students, parents have the ultimate freedom to choose which gifted education courses in which their children enroll.  Please view our extensive list of electives.  We encourage our parents to choose courses for their children based on ability, not grade level.  Be sure to view our Graduation Requirements to make sure that your child will be granted a diploma.

Thematic Courses

Thematic courses are also for those students who are not interested in full time program with the National Academy of the Gifted. These courses provide interesting content in bite-sized chunks of 18 weeks. Students can pursue various interests conveniently and profitably.

Immersion Courses

Some students do not need even the shorter Thematic Courses, and for those students we offer our Immersion Courses. These courses are 9 weeks long, and are aimed at supplementing the traditional curriculum with the most flexible options possible. Courses offered range from German to Web Site Design.
