Our Gifted School's Flexible Credit Policy

The National Academy for the Gifted makes it easy for parents to transfer credits to our gifted program.  Whether your child was home-educated previously, or went to a public school, or a private school, all students are eligible for credit transfer.  

By sending our gifted program an official transcript, parents can have their child’s credits transferred from a previous home education program or public/private education.  We accept full-credit courses for transfer.  We currently are unable to accept half-credit courses.  

We will process the transcript transfer and apply the following fee:
  • Home school transcript: $27.00 each
  • Public/Private School: $15.00 each

When we receive your official transcript, we will perform an evaluation to determine if your child’s credits are transferable to our gifted program.  All parents will receive a copy of this evaluation and we will additionally keep a copy in your student’s education file.  

If parents would like to transfer credits from The National Academy for the Gifted to a different educational program, be that a private school gifted program, a public school gifted education, or another education curricula, we will provide them with a transcript and apply a $28.00 fee.

Gifted Program Credit for Extracurricular Activities

At The National Academy for the Gifted, we believe that the whole world is your classroom!  We encourage families to go out and observe the world through field trips, nature walks, library runs, camping trips, and other learning activities.  If your children participate in a sport, scouting group, music lesson, volunteer program, or any other extracurricular accelerated learning activity, we invite you to include that experience in your Extracurricular Activities folder for credit.  We will work closely with parents to make sure that all extracurricular activities in their child’s gifted program are fully accredited.
